Ener-Spray Commercial Contracting is your #1 choice when it comes to retrofit roofing. Why tear your old existing roof off when you can use Ener-Spray’s Foam Roofing system to add additional life to your roof. Whether your roof is Tar and Gravel, Mod Bit, EPDM, TPO or even Sloped Metal we have a system for you.

Why Use

Our Foam Roofing System?
In most cases Ener-Spray’s Foam Roofing System goes right over top of the existing roofing material. To begin, all roofs are thermal scanned for moisture in the existing roof system. Following the scan any wet and saturated areas are removed as well as all loose ballast and materials. Polyurethane foam is then applied as a liquid, creating a single monolithic membrane that covers the entire roof.

When the polyurethane foam is applied there are no seams or joints, the source of the majority of leaks in traditional roofs. The foam is very flexible and lightweight and will easily take care of irregularly shaped roofs and protrusions. Foam roofing typically weighs around .5 lbs. per square, versus 4 lbs. for a built-up roof.

Foam roofing produces energy savings of 30% or greater when compared to the alternative roofing systems. The cost of the roof can be easily recovered in under 5 years, simply through these energy savings alone. Sprayed Polyurethane Foam is perfect for many different waterproofing applications. Insulation Properties of SPF systems sprayed polyurethane foam has an R-value of 7 per 1 inch thickness, enabling it to provide more thermal resistance with less material than any other type of roofing insulation.

Because of the superior insulation value and air / vapor barrier spray foam roofing minimizes dew point problems, which unchecked leads to water condensation inside of the structure. Moisture infiltration into the building envelope is the number one cause of building deterioration. For maximum protection and durability Ener-Spray applies Urecoat UC-540 polymer aluminum coating as the top coat. This polymer coating is a weather resistant surface that can be walked upon for normal maintenance and resists weather elements such as UV exposure.

Flat Roofing

  • Ve

    • Spray foam can be used on new roofs as well as reroofing projects. It can be used on surfaces that are flat, pitched, domed, metal, wood, concrete and existing roof systems.
    • Sprayed Polyurethane roofing foam can be applied to surfaces with irregular shapes, penetrations and mechanical equipment. It’s the best system for Retro- Fitting existing roofs. It will eliminate the cost and time to tear off the old roof system and disposal. Spray foam Roofing can be applied in a 1/3 of the time of a traditional Tar and Gravel roof will take.

3 pound density roofing foam is a closed cell structure polyurethane foam that resists the penetration of water and air.

A unique advantage of our spray polyurethane roofing foam system is the ability to build slope to the existing roof. This allows ponding water to be redirected to drains by adding more material in low areas.
  • EC

Polyurethane roofing foam has the ability to expand and contract with the normal movement of a structure without affecting the ability to remain adhered and sealed. It will also withstand high wind stress.

Spray foam roofing is a seamless system. There are no seams or joints to allow water, heat or air to enter the building through the roofing system.
  • Fl

Due to the ability of spray-in-place polyurethane foam to conform to whatever surface it is applied to, spray foam roofing is ideal for flashing roof penetrations, parapets and roof equipment; such as HVAC equipment, vent stacks and pipes.

Ener-Spray uses Urecoat UC-540 Aluminum Polymer Coating. This coating reflects UV rays due to its aluminum particles, maintaining a lower surface temperature. It’s seamless so there are no leaks and has superior elastomer properties so it will expand and contract, and it’s chemically stable with no V.O.C.’s. Ener-Spray has found this coating to be far more superior than any other coating for our northern climate. Typical silicone and acrylic coatings don’t stand up to our extreme temperature swings, harsh weather and damage from birds.

Flat Roofing

Metal Roofs
Metal seam roofs can start to leak over time whether it’s at the seams, screws or flashings. Metal roofs can be expensive and time consuming to try and patch repair. Ener-Spray uses Urecoat UC-540 Polymer Coating to rejuvenate metal roofs. A monolithic layer is applied over the entire roof to seal up all seems, screws and penetrations. Once Ener-Spray is done the roof will perform better than new. There is also the option to use a combination of roofing foam and the UC-540 coating to add insulation to the metal roof system.
