Thermal Barrier
Spray Foam Insulation can’t be left exposed to an occupied space. Ener-Spray uses a Spray on Mineral Fiber Thermal Barrier or Cementitious Thermal Barrier to cover exposed spray foam so it meets the building code in areas that won’t be dry walled. Ener-Spray has worked with building officials and suppliers to come up with an effective system that works and is cost effective. Both materials used comply with CAN/ULC S124 “Standard Method of Test for the Evaluation of Protective Coverings for Foamed Plastic”.

Typical areas where Thermal Barriers are required; Rim Joists in undeveloped basements, Air Seals in commercial buildings, Commercial Parkade Ceilings, Quonsets / Metal Buildings and plenum spaces that require insulation. The more durable of the two Thermal Barriers is our Cementitious product. Ask Ener-Spray today as to which product is best for your project.
